Pastor Donald McCall - Interim Pastor
Don McCall is a faculty member at BBC, teaching the pastoral ministry courses since 2000. He is a BBC graduate and has completed his doctoral studies at BBS graduating in 2003. Prior to his ministry in Clarks Summit, Don served for 26 years as the pastoral team leader at Langhorne Terrace Baptist Church in the suburbs of Philadelphia. He and his wife Bonnie of 47 years, have three children-Don, Karis, and Chad, as well as seven grand children-Kessyde, Conner, Dakota, Kohen, Ethan, Skyler, and Abigail.
In the fall of 2000 Don began a ministry of Church Revitalization. This role includes serving as an intentional interim pastor with the purpose of enhancing health in the local church in preparation for its next pastor He is a church consultant and regular conference speaker with experience in couples, men’s, pastors and Christian education retreats both in the U.S. and overseas.
Jason Austin - Student Ministry and Worship Pastor
Pastor Jason seeks to live his faith in Jesus out loud. It is a passion for him to see people understand that being a Christian makes a difference every day. After battling suicidal thoughts in high school, the hope of the gospel has transformed the way he sees life and gives him contagious enthusiasm in his worship. In his role here, he seeks to help people truly know and have a relationship with God.
Jason lives in Norwich with his wife, Stephani, and son, Jeremiah. He deeply enjoys music and plays acoustic, electric, and bass guitars and has played cello and drums. You'll find his office decorated with Star Wars themed Legos, which combine his enjoyment of sci-fi and working with his hands.
Jennifer Hodge- Office Manager
Jen is from right here in Norwich, she grew up in Calvary and graduated from Valley Heights Christian Academy. She was hired as the Office Coordinator in July 2006 and has enjoyed being a part of the ministry. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, baking, reading and scrapbooking . Her husband, Lee and three children also own Jersey cows that they enjoy exhibiting at the fairs.
Jen attended Baptist Bible College in Clarks Summit, PA. It is very important to Jen that all members of Calvary are treated well and enjoy their experience at Calvary Baptist Church!
Lee Hodge- VHCA Administrator
Mr. Hodge has been at VHCA since the fall of 2001. After graduating from the State University of New York, College at Oneonta with a B.S. in Elementary Education, he was hired as the 1st and 2nd grade teacher. Mr. Hodge taught these classes from 2002 – 2012 until he was asked to consider filling a void in the high school history department. Upon his acceptance, Mr. Hodge taught the high school history classes from 2012-2014, when he then moved into administration. Mr. Hodge is currently the administrator, while remaining in the classroom for Geography, Bible, and Yearbook.
Mr. Hodge is married to Jennifer (Vidler) Hodge, a 1999 graduate of VHCA. He and his wife reside in Norwich with their three children Morgan, Adrienne, and Taylor. Mr. Hodge enjoys playing basketball and showing dairy cattle at local fairs throughout New York State with his family.
Cynthia Wier- VHCA Secretary
Mrs. Wier and her family reside in Norwich. She is married to Todd and has 3 children, Allison, Owen, and Parker, all who currently attend VHCA. She joined the staff at Valley Heights as the Office Secretary during the summer of 2009. She grew up attending Holmesville Baptist Church and graduated from Holmesville Christian Academy. She and her family currently attend Calvary Baptist Church and looks forward to being involved with the children's ministry.
Mrs. Wier has a diverse background in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Customer Service, and Office Management from previous positions at MeadWestvaco in Sidney and the Chenango County Chamber of Commerce in Norwich. She is also a registered Notary Public.
Mrs. Wier is really excited to have the opportunity to serve the parents, students and staff at VHCA. The Lord has prepared her with the knowledge and experience she has to meet the current needs of this position, as well as provided her with additional skills that might be of use in the future as the school continues to grow.
