Brian Conover- Lead Pastor 

Brian and his wife, Lisa, are in their 20th year serving at Calvary. Over these two decades God has brought many relationships across their paths and many children in their home. The Conovers have 7 children and have also hosted 7 Ukrainian orphans. Brian enjoys John Deere Tractors, hunting, football and just about anything he can do with his family (except watch the Hallmark Channel). Prior to serving at Calvary, Brian was a Youth Pastor for three years in Ohio. Brian is a graduate of Summit University (Baptist Bible College) and anticipates receiving his Master of Divinity and Master of Arts in Christian Counseling in the fall of 2016. Connecting with people, communicating God’s truth and seeing Jesus change lives top his list of favorite things as a pastor!

Dr. Skip Lewis - Director of Community Care Counseling Program

Dr. K. Skip Lewis and his wife Marlene have been members of Calvary Baptist Church for three years. Dr. Lewis is the founder of Splendor Ministries and he and Marlene host a Christian Bed and Breakfast Retreat in Norwich New York., where they minister to those in ministry with problems. Skip has been in ministry for 50 years and holds a Ph.D in Clinical Psychology as well as Degrees from Tennessee Temple, Child Evangelism Fellowship, Rockville University as well as Liberty and Light Universities. He has been a Member of the American Association of Christian Counselors since 2009. Skip heads up our Community Care Counseling Program and leads a growing team of Christian Lay Counselors as well as Professional Counselors here at Calvary. Skip loves music and teaching his life’s verse is 2 Timothy 2:2

Jennifer Hodge- Office Manager 

Jen is from right here in Norwich, she grew up in Calvary and graduated from Valley Heights Christian Academy. She was hired as the Office Coordinator in July 2006 and has enjoyed being a part of the ministry. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, baking, reading and scrapbooking . Her husband, Lee and three children also own Jersey cows that they enjoy exhibiting at the fairs.

Jen attended Baptist Bible College in Clarks Summit, PA. It is very important to Jen that all members of Calvary are treated well and enjoy their experience at Calvary Baptist Church!

Lee Hodge- VHCA Administrator

Mr. Hodge has been at VHCA since the fall of 2001. After graduating from the State University of New York, College at Oneonta with a B.S. in Elementary Education, he was hired as the 1st and 2nd grade teacher. Mr. Hodge taught these classes from 2002 – 2012 until he was asked to consider filling a void in the high school history department. Upon his acceptance, Mr. Hodge taught the high school history classes from 2012-2014, when he then moved into administration. Mr. Hodge is currently the administrator, while remaining in the classroom for Geography, Bible, and Yearbook.
Mr. Hodge is married to Jennifer (Vidler) Hodge, a 1999 graduate of VHCA. He and his wife reside in Norwich with their three children Morgan, Adrienne, and Taylor. Mr. Hodge enjoys playing basketball and showing dairy cattle at local fairs throughout New York State with his family.

Cynthia Wier- VHCA Secretary

Mrs. Wier and her family reside in Norwich. She is married to Todd and has 3 children, Allison, Owen, and Parker, all who currently attend VHCA. She joined the staff at Valley Heights as the Office Secretary during the summer of 2009. She grew up attending Holmesville Baptist Church and graduated from Holmesville Christian Academy. She and her family currently attend Calvary Baptist Church and looks forward to being involved with the children's ministry.

Mrs. Wier has a diverse background in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Customer Service, and Office Management from previous positions at MeadWestvaco in Sidney and the Chenango County Chamber of Commerce in Norwich. She is also a registered Notary Public.

Mrs. Wier is really excited to have the opportunity to serve the parents, students and staff at VHCA. The Lord has prepared her with the knowledge and experience she has to meet the current needs of this position, as well as provided her with additional skills that might be of use in the future as the school continues to grow.
