Gear Up:

A plan to inspire the people of Calvary to love God, love people, and serve all by expanding their knowledge of the Bible’s teaching. One of the ways Calvary seeks to educate our adults is through Gear Up classes. These classed are designed to deepen adults understanding of God’s Word. Each class focuses on a topic that will help us grow in God’s Word as we strive to love God, Love people, and serve all. You are invited to visit different classes to find where you fit best. The goal is that you find a comfortable environment where you can grow! 

Classes include:

Life together Ages 18-30 

Too often our Christian lives are consumed with appearances. Do I look the way I am supposed to? Does my life appear to be “put together”? While it is good to want others to see Christ when they see us, it is not good if our lives are void of true brokenness, authenticity, and accountability. Join Casey as he delves into the biblical realities of living genuinely for the sake of ourselves and each other.

Journey of desire Ages 25-40

Are you living the life you always wanted? Would you say your desires are completely in tune with your Creator? Or do you find yourself discontent and unfulfilled? Join Adam as he uncovers the Truth that you were created for something great and that you have been given a new heart that God full of God-given desires.

Gripped by the greatness of God  Ages 35-55

If you want to change your perception of God, and stop living a boring, stale, going through the motions Christian walk, this study is for you. Tim is going to walk through the realities of  the holiness of God, the awesomeness of God, the sovereignty of God, the works of God, the worship of God, and my identity in God. If you want to be changed, then you do not want to miss this class!

Radical Ages 50+

It’s easy for American Christians to forget how Jesus said His followers would actually live, what their new lifestyle would actually look like. They would, Jesus said, leave behind security, money, convenience, even family for Him. They would abandon everything for the Gospel. Join Pastor Jim as He explores the realities of living a radical life committed to living the way the Scriptures intend.

Getting Started

Join others who are curious and investigating Christianity. This is a class for people who have recently started a relationship with God, those who are reconnecting with God after being away from church for  a while, and people who want to learn more about the Bible from a beginner’s perspective. Come experience community in a relaxed and informal setting, while watching a word for word reenactment of the books of Matthew, John and Acts. A great class for beginners!
