Pastor Brian Conover with his wife Lisa and daughters Brielle, Bethany, Brenna, Brynn and Brylie
Brian moved to upstate NY from New Jersey with his family early on in his
childhood. The youngest of three, he grew up in a rural community and
enjoyed the outdoors - motorcycles, horses, dogs, snowmobiles, baseball,
fishing and hunting. Now, with his wife, Lisa, and their 5 girls, he still
enjoys the same things (except motorcycles), and has an entire household to
share them with.
Pastor has his serious moments but, as you can see in his pictures, likes
showing his crazy side every once in a while. He loves movie nights with
all his girls, movie nights with Lisa after the girls are in bed, deer and
turkey hunting, long trail rides with his horse, Bremmer, and an occasional
kiss from his yellow lab, Hannah.

It has been a privilege serving at Calvary Baptist Church especially since I grew up in this church and graduated from Valley Heights Christian Academy. I was hired as the Office Coordinator in July 2006. I have enjoyed being a part of this ministry!
One of my favorite Bible verses is: Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you, "declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, baking, reading and scrapbooking (when I have extra time!). My husband, daughter & I also own Jersey cows that we enjoy exhibiting at the fairs.
I am so thankful to God for how He has blessed my family and Calvary Baptist Church!

VHCA Administrator Eric Schimke with his wife Susan
Eric and his wife Susan reside in the Norwich area and have three grown children, all married and who live as far away as Ohio and Michigan. All three attended Christian schools throughout their formal education, as well as attending and graduating from Christian colleges. With 4 grandchildren, and two more on the way, Eric and his wife enjoy visiting family when it’s time for vacation and on occasion the coast of Maine or upstate Michigan.
When free time does come along, Eric enjoys watching professional sports, working in the yard and listening to good Christian music.
“I enjoy the time the Lord has given me to be part of the important ministry of Valley Heights Christian Academy. Christian education is not an option when it comes to the children of a Christian home because an education in which Jesus Christ is central is the best preparation for the real world.”

VHCA Secretary Cynthia Wier with her husband Todd and their children Allison, Owen and Parker
Cynthia and her family reside in Norwich. Allison and Owen are VHCA students. Parker will enter K4 next year.
Cynthia was saved at the age of 7 and baptized at age 10. They are active members of the Holmesville Baptist Church since the early 1980’s. Cynthia graduated from Holmesville Christian Academy in 1988. Cynthia currently teaches the 1st grade Sunday School class and coordinates a monthly “Night of Fun” program at her church. She is also the Communications Coordinator for the CBC Mom-to-Mom group.
Cynthia has a diverse background in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Customer Service, and Office Management from previous positions at MeadWestvaco in Sidney and the Chenango County Chamber of Commerce in Norwich . She is also a registered Notary Public.
When asked about her new position, Cynthia stated, “I am really excited to have this opportunity to serve the parents, students and staff at VHCA. I trust the Lord has prepared me with the knowledge and experience I have to meet the current needs of this position, as well as provided me with additional skills that might be of use in the future as the school continues to grow.”
